After a valiant but slow start with a downsizing specialist, the entire VNTG Home team was able to step in and make my 90 year old mother’s transition from a 3100 square foot home to 1100 square foot independent living facility a pleasant and as seamless experience as possible.
Their expertise and attention to detail made all the difference for my mother, Ida. Megan Featherston jumped right in and worked with Ida to select the best pieces – and even a wardrobe - for her new home. She helped us determine the best items to consign and what should be donated. She helped us decorate my mother’s new apartment so that all her cherished items had a special place so she felt right at home. And before Ida’s house went on the market, Megan took the time to select a new, contemporary light fixture for the dated eat-in kitchen. Her lighting choice made the entire space come alive and look fresh. I believe that because of Megan’s insight and eye for interior design, it helped us sell the house to the very first buyer. In fact, we closed in a month.
Megan Apple and her team itemized and moved consigned items. What was originally a 16 item pick up turned into an entire moving truck’s worth of items. They handled it like pros, transporting saved items to my mother’s new location in Florida and making an extra stop just for baby grand piano which now lives at Ida’s granddaughter's home.
One call to VNTG Home took much of the stress out of my mother’s move. On behalf of my family and my mother, I want to thank the entire VNTG Home team for all they do to help make life’s transitions easier and more beautiful.
