Why Upcycling Is so Important
Upcycling. You’ve heard that word around, right? But what does it actually mean? Here’s a quick definition. Upcycling is the process of giving old or used materials a second life. When you upcycle, the used material can either be re-used in the same manner, or it can be re-adapted or repurposed.
Mid-Century Modern Design Trend
It is almost incorrect to call Mid-Century Modern a design trend, because it has been the most popular style that has outlasted countless others for decades. There is just something about this style that keeps it relevant with it’s sleek lines, natural lighting, and furniture focused more on functionality than form. Mid-Century Modern decor is geometric and often features bold pops of color.
WHITE WASH
“You really have no clue how beautiful you are. Do you?” – The Butterfly Effect
GRAY MATTERS
“She sees in black and white, thinks in greys, but loves in color” – J.M. Storm
SPRING GREEN
Leatrice Eiseman, Executive Director of the Pantone Color Institute says it best. “Greenery bursts forth in 2017 to provide us with the reassurance we yearn for in a tumultuous social and political environment. Satisfying our growing desire to rejuvenate and revitalize, Greenery symbolizes the reconnection we seek with nature, one another and a larger purpose”. I don’t know Ms. Eiseman but I think she’s genius and spot on.
